Where Have all the People Gone?

Hi Guys! I have gone through posting to the 350 blogs and the same as last time, I am finding blogs that have not been posted on for up to 8 months. Why do people sign up to do a course and never complete it? Of the 350 blogs I visited, I would say that only 10-15% have posted a blog in August – and we are past the half way point of the month.
There are many reasons and a main one could be they are trying to hold down a full time job and juggling a family and then find time to devote to the course. They begin to fall further and further behind and get despondent. Rather than have this feeling of sadness, why not concentrate on the other two and try again later – maybe with another coach and teacher. Sometimes, something has to give, and at this stage, it cannot be the day job that is producing an income, and it certainly cannot be the family, so that leave the last one – the course.
Some people never even wrote one post. They allowed themselves to be defeated before they started. Internet Marketing, like a lot of other things in life, requires the right mindset. I know I talk about this subject quite a lot but it is so important and people ignore it. You have to know what you want, believe in your ability and take the time to write down your goals. Affirmation and visualization are two of the most powerful tools that you can use.
I will give you an example of how it works. When you are young you started walking everywhere and you do not even know of the existence of a bicycle and you would not even know if you wanted to ride one. This stage of your development is called “unconscious incompetence” because you really don’t know, what you don’t know. Then for Christmas or birthday you get your first bicycle. You get to try to ride your bicycle and sometimes you fall off and sometimes you surprise yourself how hard you have to concentrate to stay on and ride. This stage is called “conscious incompetence” . This is because we really do not know how to ride but we are trying to learn. As time goes by, with all your concentration and focus you finally ride your bicycle. This is called “conscious competence”. Now you do not even think about balance and using peddles and all the rest so now you have mastered riding – you have reached the level of “unconscious competence”. It becomes an automatic thing, you can just get on the bicycle and ride it effortlessly.
The true success rate for Internet Marketing is between 2-3%. If, as a child, you could learn to master riding your bicycle just believe in yourself enough to master Internet Marketing. The thoughts we have and the images we visualize will determine the action we take. Positive thoughts will produce results.
So this is Sue McDonald saying I hope this doesn’t sound like a lecture – what I am trying to say that all things are possible.

Thanks very interesting post.

Hi Sue,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.
I’ve been reading your other posts and I would like to wish you good luck with your course.
The other day, I watched a little boy playing with his Ninetendo DS. He was focused. He kept at it until he reached the next level. I don’t know the little boy or his mother but he’s my hero. Concentration and focus will get us to the next level.
Hi Jules
I have studied this and I know what works but I do not want to lecture people – you have to know what you want to achieve and work towards it let nothing get in your way. Thanks for taking the time to add a comment.

Hi Sue
Me again!
It’s all about persistence and sticking with it. When there is a new intake of students at the Alex Jeffreys forum it just goes crazy. Then after a month or so everyone just seems to disappear and there are only a few who pop in and comment.
In my case I have concentrated on a different blog http://www.hotvasoftware.com which is all around the VA industry so my other blog does get neglected. I am also a virtual assistant and need some guaranteed income while trying my hand at internet marketing.
Well done for winning the traffic competition and sharing your experience.

Hi Christina
Thank you for the visit. I understand what you are saying I have been doing some ghost writing for some extra income and it all helps. It is amazing the fall off in courses because I think when we first start you have no idea how much you have to learn and put into practice. How is you new site going?

Hi Sue,
Thanks for visiting & commenting on my blog. I seen a simular post like this in Alex Jeffery’s forum. I will say that I still work a full time job as a Lineman so my IM business is a real labor of love and is more work than they sell you. You have great content here and I dig the layout of your blog. Keep up the great work & thanks again for the visit.

Hi James
Internet Marketing is a labor of love. I love it but it requires may hours to do all that is required but that is what I want so I cannot complain. I hope you are very successful.

Hi Sue,
Are those 350 blogs participants of the coaching program you’re on or is there a list somewhere?
I am curious. If you posted a comment on a blog with no recent visible activity did you get notified of the comment being published? That is, is the blogger still around but just not posting new content? That would be an interesting outcome if so.
And yes, all things are possible … best wishes, Michael.

Hi Michael
Thank you for taking the time to comment on my blog. The 350 are a combination of students from three different courses. Yes two of the blogs that had no recent activity, their owners have come across and left me a comment. The reason they gave was they have failed to keep blogging because they have become involved in other projects. Yes all things are possible.

Hi Sue-
EXCELLENT Post!
Ya know, only the strong will survive. You have to be in a place of determination…against all odds. I am a single parent, and it feels like I’m swimming in tasks at times. However, I continue pushing forward. I’ve learned to outsource, and do other things to lessen my load.
God bless

Hi La Tonya
Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. It is sometimes difficult to get all the tasks done in the allocated time. Fortunately I love what I do so it soes not seem like work. At this stage I have not outsourced anything but that day will come.
