Take Action to Succeed!

The Right Mind Set

For my homework this week, I had to go through a list of some of Alex Jeffery’s former students and put a comment on their blogs. I read at least one blog on every person’s site. It took a while I must say, but there some interesting blogs and I enjoyed completing the task. I contacted every one that I could. Some names did not have sites connected to them any more.

Why is it that some people have succeeded while others have not even continued to maintain their sites? I can tell you quite honestly, in anything you do in life, you must have the right mind set. Getting the right mind set is not that difficult. We must think in a positive way and set goals. Have long term goals but always break these goals down into small actionable items.Set monthly and weekly goals and then break that down into days. I personally write my goals down and I put them in a place I can see them – it could be on your refrigerator, your bathroom mirror or right near your computer. This helps keep your mind on the right track.

So many people fail to plan and then they have found that they have failed. If Thomas Edison had 10,000 attempts to produce the light bulb – it shows if you keep at something and keep trying you will SUCCEED. It wasn’t his formal education that made him a success -no, he never even made it to high school, but it was his determination to succeed that kept him going.  The thoughts we think and the actions we take, govern our lives for better or worse.

There are three things that affect your life. They are the thoughts that you think, the images that you visualize in your mind, and the actions that you take. Positive thoughts – produce positive results!

Hope this doesn’t sound like a lecture but I am passionate about helping people and I want to see people succeed in their chosen field. For anyone who has never read Napoleon Hill’s book “Think and Grow Rich” I have included a link where you can download it for free. I know the book was written in 1938 but it is still relevant to today – read it at your leisure .

Let me know what you think of the book – catch you later………Sue

Hey Sue,

I like your homework assignment you had where you had to go through a list of some of Alex Jeffrey’s former students and put a comment on their blogs. I especially liked it because it directed you to my blog. BTW, thanks for your comment.

I completely agree with you about having the right mind set. One way to do that is to write down you goals so you have something to be held accountable to. I have my goals written down in a notebook. I also posted a summarized condensed version on my blog for everyone to see.

You’ve got to stay focused to be successful in anything you do. It doesn’t do much good to have all these goals written down if you don’t have a plan in place on how you’re going to achieve these goals. Having a yearly plan that’s broken down into smaller chunks like quarterly, monthly, weekly and finally daily is certainly one way to keep you focused.

I keep hearing people recommend reading Napoleon Hill’s book “Think and Grow Rich” but I haven’t read it yet. I have used the link you provided here and have downloaded my copy so I will finally get the chance to read it thanks to you.

Hi Sue,

Welcome aboard to the IM world. You asked the question of why some people continue and others just simply fall off the face of cyberspace.

I think the answer could be debated till the end of eternity and there will always be another person out there that has a different view on the answer.

Some people never make it past the part of “take action.”

It’s great to see how far you’ve come. Will you be marketing something in metaphysics?

Thanks for the ebook… You’d be surprised how many of us have not read “Think and Grow Rich.”

If you didn’t make it to the temple, go to Gary’s blog. He’ll keep you motivated http://motivationselfesteem.com/talk/

Good Luck

Hi Sue,

Thanks for your comment on my blog while you were visiting Alex Jeffrey’s students blogs.

I really like your blog, and your statement of Positive Thinking = Positive Results is going to be a statement I’ll be putting up somewhere where I can see it!

I have been neglecting my blog terribly lately, due to an immediate need for money. I have tons of new ideas and valuable info to begin putting up, which I am devoting most of my day to today. Taking action really does work.

Take care,

Lori

Hi Lori

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my blog. I am glad you found something that will help you because the thoughts we think and the actions we take effect our entire lives. We all need money so I understand what you are say but just keep going.

Joy and Abundance

Hi Sue ,

Love your blog . I like being around people who take action :)

I agree with you Think and Grow Rich is still relevant today . It is a great book everyone should read again and again

So , to answer your question why do some people give up on their dreams , I think is because they stopped believing in their dreams .

I strongly believe that we would stay consistent with the image in our heads that we have of our self . This is the reason why some people take action and others don’t . We always act in harmony with who we believe we are .

If taking a certain action jeopardises ourself image , we would eventually stop doing it .

The good news is that we can change that picture of who we are any time we want and can enjoy the experience you want . Start first in the mind and continue to picture it until it manifest in the real world .

Hi Femi

Sorry for taking so long but I found that your email had been regarded as spam but I fixed it and now I can reply. I have a copy of this book and as you say some people do not realize how good it is. I have read it many times now and still marvel at it.

The mind is a very powerful tool and like any other tool we must be trained to use it. This is what this book helps us do.

Take care my friend

Sue
