Hi Guys. Can you imagine my surprise this week when I was notified by Clickbank that someone had purchased a copy of my book? It was not so much the joy of seeing that I had some money in my Clickbank account but it proved that what Mark Terrell has taught us really works.

There are so many things to learn if you want to be successful at internet marketing and one of the greatest things is to have the right mindset. I cannot say this enough, because if I didn’t have the belief in myself, I would have given up a long time ago. There are still days when I struggle with various parts of internet marketing but the more I do things and repeat them the more I will learn.

All I can say to you is have the right mindset, have your goals both short and long term and have the written down plan that will help you achieve the goals. Visualize what you want and through a series of affirmations – you can get and have anything you desire. Yes you have to work for it – but you know that you get nothing for nothing. Don’t be the one, who when things are not going to plan,  you walk away from it. Don’t be like the guy who saw too many rocks on his farm and sold the farm only to find out later – they were not just rocks but diamonds!

Always stay positive and if something goes wrong, learn your lesson from it and move on. Some of the best lessons are learnt when we experience a problem or difficulty. These are the lessons you never forget – so if the same or a similar thing happens, you know exactly what to do.

Hi Guys! These last few weeks have been killers – just trying to get everything done before I go on holidays. I only have 6 weeks and I know I still have so much that I have to do. I have joined a few giveaways this week and added my products – so hopefully they will bring me some results.

But the big news is…..The yoga DVD has finally been shot and is now in the editing stage and we are still running around trying to get quotes on the clothes. We have finally met the right person who can quote for us to have them made in Australia and she also has an agent who can get us a quote from China. We would have liked to have them made here but I think the cost is too prohibitive , so it looks like the Chinese option is going to win. We have, however, found someone to produce the DVDs for the same price as we had sourced in China so Australia won that part.

The last few months setting up this business has been very demanding – by that I mean getting everything in the right order. From one idea the was bandied around between my business partner and I, three years ago, has now developed into a fully registered business. They say if you have a dream you should follow it and I think that is what has happened here.

However, during that three years, I had decided to pursue Internet Marketing and I am really enjoying it. So it looks like I will be employing someone to do the accounts for the company so I can keep doing what I am loving right now.

I still have the Advanced Course to do with Mark in January and I am really looking forward to that. I know that I still have so much to learn because like everything else that you want to learn “you don’t know – what you don’t know”.

So this is Sue McDonald saying with only 6 weeks till holidays – I better get stuck in and lose those few extra pounds that I have gained because I am sitting at my computer for long hours and not exercising like I used to do. Maybe I will use this yoga DVD because you can do the entire practice or 15 minute intervals and that will get me fit like I was last year.

Hi Guys! Well it is now a week since the Newbies Course officially finished. I still have one thing remaining to complete but I completed 98% of what was required. In my own time I will definitely complete that missing bit.

So what did I achieve by doing the course the second time? Well the results speak for themselves. This time I was able to produce my own product and get it approved and up on Clickbank and even put it up as a Warrior Special Offer (WSO). This was one thing that I did not complete last time. Since I first started, I have enjoyed my time on the Warrior Forum and I have been able to get traffic from there. It has been a give and take where you can get good information and if you can answer some of the questions, you give back good information.

Another of my achievements was learning Microsoft Expressions 4 but this would not have been possible without guidance from Mark. Instead of using FTP to upload, we were shown how to use our cpanel and uploaded our product there. This is a  much easier way. I will certainly be looking at purchasing this software because at present I am only using the 60 day free trial version.

When you get that approval from Clickbank, you know you have achieved what you set out to do. Now the challenge is to repeat the whole process and get another product ready to launch. So in my “spare” time, this is what I want to do and I am going to see if I can do it before I go to the US.

I also have to market a physical product and get sales in the next few weeks. This is both daunting and exciting at the same time. So as I progress with this I will keep you all posted.

Hi Guys! Well can you believe we have just finished our second last class of this course – just one more week to go. It has just flown. It really seems like we have only been doing this for about 4 weeks but this time Mark is teaching so much new information.

I wish I could say it is easy but I can’t. There is so much technical information being taught to us over the last few weeks and again today that it is really heavy going. We have been using Microsoft Expression Web 4 to create our sales page and our download page and now today Mark introduced an affiliate page. Firstly, we have all had to learn how to use Microsoft Expression because most of us had used Kompozer before but Expression is different. So after you start using this, you have to create a sales page from nothing and include an image of your ebook and of course we want people to buy – so a buy button also. So you can see that as a Newbie – this is all new and requires our full attention.

Now as if that wasn’t enough, Mark has given us another challenge of making 100 videos. Yes, I typed it correctly – 100. This is a real test and taking some of us right out of comfort zone but depending on time I will see how I will go. Then we have to uploaded every one to Youtube. There is a prize for the person who creates the most videos.

So I apologize to all of you – getting this ebook up is taking longer than I thought but I should be able to complete it this week. I can honestly see why people give internet marketing away because there is so much to learn and we are trying to master it in 10 short weeks! Without Mark’s teaching we would certainly not be where we are today. How many other Newbies do you hear of that are getting their very own product up on Clickbank so quickly?

Hi to all my readers. Well we have just finished the webinar for this week and we have a lot of homework to be done. Now I know that I said I would tell you the title of my book, but I will go one better and show you the graphics I have for it. So here it is.

Search Engine Optimization is the main way to increase the visibility of your site. The internet is really a level playing field but if you can get a break on your competitors by improving your rankings, why shouldn’t you? I tell you about both “on page” and “off page” Search Engine Optimization.

I have gone into detail and explained only the methods I used. I know there are other methods of SEO but my coach/mentor Mark told me only to write about the elements I had used. You will be amazed if you follow the advice I give, how easy it will be for you to increase your rankings. It is like anything else – it is so easy when you know how.

Hi to all aspiring Internet Marketers! I heard this the other day and thought how much it applies to all things in your life but especially for me it relates very well to Internet Marketing. So many people are drawn into the world of internet marketing with the promises of making a lot of money very quickly. They hear of the success stories and they think they will be able to replicate them but the truth of the matter is very different.

For someone just starting out, it is easy to be carried away and buy all the courses and books that are offered to you, because you are told that it is easy to make from a few hundred to thousands of dollars overnight. Sadly after spending, sometimes many thousands of dollars, you come to the realization that it is not easy and the only one that has made money is the person who sold you the material in the first place.

Unfortunately, this could be my story and part of it is. I was the gullible newbie who wanted so desperately to make money that I was shelling out money for video courses and books until I realized that there had to be an easier way. I was a bit like a ship without a rudder. Yes, I was in the water but certainly not going any where and maybe even ready to drown. If there was an easier way – I was determined to find it.

Now what  I really needed was a coach, a teacher and someone who would mentor me. Now there is a Chinese proverb that says “When the student is ready the teacher will come”. I had studied Chinese philosophy and found a lot of wisdom in it. So, it was no surprise,that one day I found this email in my inbox from someone I certainly did not know and it was a free gift from a person called Mark Terrell. I now know that it was an adswap, but I did know that then. My curiosity was aroused because when I clicked on the link inside the email this is what I saw.

So I decided to investigate who was this guy Mark Terrell and and what did he mean by ‘Helping Newbies’? Well the rest is history – after contacting Mark I enrolled in his coaching program for Newbies. Now, if you have read some of my previous posts, you will know that I was invited back to go through the course for a second time. Mark had so much demand for the course that he decided to do the Newbies course again before we could progress on to the Advanced.  The Advanced course should be starting in a few weeks and I know that is just going to be the most interesting time learning how to create multiple streams of income and becoming the success that I believe that I can be.

Hi Guys. Well the webinar went very smoothly this week or at least for me. Mark had some very good information – some of which we had covered the first time through. We went through Ad swaps and Twitter – we went through both last time. I love the adswap site that was suggested to us and I would thoroughly recommend it. I have been using this site for months and my list is growing steadily. Yes, there are those people that will sign up for your gift and then unsubscribe. This can be disappointing but in reality these people are not interested in paying for products.

What you ideally want, is to get subscribers that you can eventually send a product and they will buy it from you. So many people on lists are freebie seekers only, and it is not until they are offered a product to buy will they unsubscribe. Mark says don’t worry about the unsubscribers and I accept that now but in the beginning I was always disappointed to see my lists start going down.

Then we went onto Twitter. Now I find that with Twitter – you can either love it or hate it. Personally for me, I will ban someone who uses an automated delivery service. I had some people who were sending me Tweets every few minutes on an automated system. I knew them personally but banned them anyway.

Now the last part of the webinar was devoted to creating a squeeze page for the product that we have all been creating. I am still not revealing the title of my book but I guess in week 8, I will let you all know. It has been a lot of fun writing this book and I hope you will all enjoying reading it and learning from it. I have got some of my graphics and they are good – or at least I think so. They will give the book a more professional look and as this is the first thing you see – it has to get people to want to buy your product. There is a saying “You can’t judge a book by the cover” but in internet marketing the cover is a big draw card along with a well created sales page.

Hi guys – well we are past the halfway point of this course. Mark has certainly made some changes from the first time through. He has totally rewritten the course this time with so much new material and it is certainly showing us how we are going to be successful on line. Mark has certainly over delivered with information and a free product for us this week.

This week, we have to pick two or three PLR (Private Label Rights) books and make them into a 7-10 email course and combine the material to create one book. This is both exciting and daunting at the same time. You had to pick you niche last week, but I imagine some people may have changed their minds when they saw what books were available. I have stuck with my original idea but I don’t want to tell you what it is here. I want to show you when I have finished it. It may take 7-10 days because I tend to be a little over the top when it comes to rewrites.  I don’t know whether that is a good or bad trait.

We also have to register a new domain name for the product. I am still tossing around a few names and think I will check with Mark before I make my final decision.

Well, all in all, it hasn’t been too bad a week. I still have not finished all my commenting yet – but I will. I am excited to get on to the book but have to download the free PDF editor first.

Oh – I forgot to tell you my exciting news. We are going to the US for Christmas to stay with family. Just picked up the tickets today. From Australia it is a long flight but after having done it a few times, you know what to expect. Don’t panic – I am going to take my trusty laptop with me so I will be in touch. I have to complete the Advanced Course with Mark while I am there.

Well guys – I am still playing at catch up with the homework from week 4. If my fingers were walking instead of typing, I think I would have circumnavigated the world. I have commented on blogs and now I have to complete another 90 comments on the “do follows” list.

What did week 5 hold for all of us? We had to:

• Install Google Analytics
• Find a Niche using Google Adwords Tool
• Research your niche
• Add RSS feeds
• and Backup your WordPress Blog

This was interesting. I had already installed Google Analytics on my site last time I went through the course. Google Analytics is a very good tool that gives lots of good information. Just let me show you some of my statistics.

The period shown is from the 20 July to 20 August. You can see as a result of my commenting on  peoples blogs and these people then coming to my blog to comment has helped  my traffic increase by 95.95% and total number of visitors was 339. The average page visited was 2.38 and the average time on site an amazing 7.31 minutes. There were 58.11% new visitors so that means that just over 41% were returning visitors. The bounce rate was 46.02% so that means people were staying for some time and not just clicking and leaving immediately otherwise the bounce rate would have been much higher.

If you go to “visitors” and click on “map overlay” it shows that these 339 people came from 30 countries around the world. Then click on “traffic sources” and then go down and click on “all traffic sources” – the total number of sources is 95. The total number of visitors that have come to my site since I installed Google Analytics is 1883 and they have come for 175 sources.

There is a lot we can learn from these statistics. You can drill down and know exactly how many people visit your site per day. I really enjoy examining the stats.
